Jocklyn Armstrong Carter, longtime resident of Stewart Manor, died Feb. 21, 2017 at age 73. She was a dance writer for many publications, and later, the Director of the Children’s Department at WH Public Library. As a member of the vestry at Christ Church of Garden City, she received the Bishop’s Medal for her social outreach work. She is survived by her husband, sons and grandchildren. The memorial service was held at Christ Church, 33 Jefferson St., Garden City at 3 p.m. on March 7.
