Freshman Bucci Claims Top Adelphi Finish At Penmen Invite

The Adelphi University men’s golf team recently traveled to New Hampshire to compete in the Penmen Fall Invitational hosted by Southern New Hampshire University.
The Panthers shot a combined team score of 638 after two rounds of golf to place 13th overall.
Freshman Luke Bucci was Adelphi’s best finisher with a combined score of 157 across two rounds, placing. Bucci penciled in 81 on his scorecard on the first 18-holes before improving by five strokes in the second round, shooting 76.
Peter Jeranek also stroked 81 during the first round, but fell two strokes back of his teammate on Monday after posting a score of 78 on day two. Ben Donohue shined for the Panthers on day one, shooting a low of 78 in the opening round, but the freshman increased his score by four strokes in the second round, combining for a 160 total.
Brett Sadinsky and Devon Neudorf both shot a combined total of 166 after 36-holes, finishing 74th overall.
